Biographical sketch

Personal Data:

Born: March 27, 1970, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
Degree in Mathematics at the University of Rome "Sapienza" .
Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science of "Sapienza" University of Rome, under the tutoring of professor Rossella Petreschi.
Current position (since November 2006): associate professor at "Sapienza" University of Rome.

Education:

I am currently president of EATCS-Italian Chapter;
I have been vice-president of EATCS-Italian Chapter from 2009 to 2011;
From November 2000 to October 2006 I have been assistant professor at Computer Science Department of "Sapienza" University of Rome;
From 1998 to 2000 I had a post-doc fellowship by "Sapienza" University of Rome.
In 1996 and 1998 I had two fellowships by CNR (Italian Research Council).
Since 1997 I have teached basis courses at "Sapienza" University of Rome, Computer Science and Statistics Departments.
In November 1996 I finished to write my Ph.D. thesis entitled "Does Cubicity Help to Solve Problems?" under the supervision of Professor Rossella Petreschi and in 1997 I got my Ph.D. in Computer Science at "Sapienza" University of Rome.
In 1995, I was visiting the Computer Science Department - Israel Institute of Thecnology, Technion of Haifa, Israel, under the supervision of Professor Shimon Even.
In 1992 I graduated cum laude in Mathematics at "Sapienza" University of Rome.
Since 1988 to 1992 I attended the courses to achieve the Mathematics degree.
