Welcome to the web page of Alessio Carosi.
I've completed a Ph.D. at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Rome "La Sapienza," under the supervision of Prof. Chiara Petrioli.
The title of my dissertation is "Mobility in Wireless Sensor Networks".
I joined the Computer Networks Group lead by Prof. Petrioli for my (undergraduate) Laurea degree work (in November 2002).
This led to my graduation in July 2004 (Laurea degree Summa Cum Laude). The title of my dissertation is "GAF and S-DMAC: Solutions for Hierarchical Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks."
My research interests include topology control, energy-aware routing protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and a theoretical and practical investigation of the device's mobility, especially to improve network performance.
For research purposes I've frequently visited the Northeastern University (Professor Stefano Basagni's grop) and Sandia National Labs (Dr. Cynthia Phillips's group). |
