How to get to the Workshop
Participants must arrive in the small town of Varenna, on the shores of Lake Como. Varenna can be best reached by train from Milan. From the train, or bus, station it is an easy walk to Villa Monastero.We recommend participants coming from abroad to take a flight to Milano Malpensa airport (MXP); Milano Linate airport (LIN) has fewer connections, but it is a valid second option (in fact, it is closer to Milan). From either airport go to Milano Centrale Station. This can be done by bus, taxi or (from Malpensa) by train. From Milano Centrale take a train to Varenna-Esino; these trains take about one hour to reach Varenna-Esino and depart frequently from Milano Centrale (about once every hour). Tickets can be bought online or onsite. Another option is to take a train from Milano Centrale to Como, and then take the public ferry from Como to Varenna. This option requires more time, but the cruise is spectacular.
