Since 2011 I am a post-doc (assegnista di ricerca) at the Linguistic Computing Laboratory (LCL), Computer Science Department of the Sapienza University of Rome
Main research interests:
- Knowledge acquisition:
unsupervised and weakly-supervised information extraction,
multilingual ontology learning and relation discovery from
large text collections and collaboratively constructed
resources.
- Natural Language
Processing: lexical semantics (word sense
disambiguation, knowledge-based and distributional
approaches to semantic similarity); discourse semantics and
pragmatics (entity disambiguation and classification,
coreference resolution, discourse coherence, automatic
document summarization).
EMNLP-CoNLL 2012 co-chair
Together with Marco Pennacchiotti I am honored to serve the NLP research community as area co-chair for the EMNLP-CoNLL 2012 conference in the area of Social Media, Text Mining, and Natural Language Processing Applications.
